VW DSG and Audi S-Tronic Transmission Repairs
They drive like a 'traditional' automatic gearbox but are actually more like a conventional gearbox controlled by a mechatronic system that operates the clutches and selects the gears. First introduced in 2003 with the DQ250 ‘wet clutch’ system and followed by the ‘dry clutch’ type systems in 2008, dual clutch type gearboxes are common across the VW Audi Group including Seat and Skoda models. We have the correct tools, equipment and knowhow to replace and correctly set up the clutches and mechatronic units on almost all of these models. We only use genuine VAG or quality OEM parts and all work is covered by a 12 month parts and labour warranty so you can be confident in the knowledge that your vehicle will be repaired to the highest standard.
As with all gearboxes, routine maintenance is also essential to ensure correct operation and longevity and it is particularly important to use high quality oil of the correct specification.
